Repair or Replace?

Not every fob problem needs a full replacement. Common issues we see on-site: buttons that have gone unresponsive from wear, a battery that's simply died (often mistaken for a bigger failure), a cracked or split shell letting the internals rattle loose, and water or liquid exposure that corrodes the contacts. We check the actual fault before quoting anything -- a dead battery is a different job and a different price than a fried circuit board.

What We Can Usually Fix On-Site

• Battery replacement (the most common "dead fob" cause)
• Unresponsive or sticky buttons
• Loose or cracked shells and key blade housings
• Re-syncing a fob that's lost its connection to the vehicle

When Replacement Makes More Sense

Water damage that's reached the circuit board, a fob that's been run over or crushed, or a chip/transponder that's failed internally usually can't be reliably repaired -- at that point we cut and program a replacement instead of patching something that will fail again. We'll tell you which situation you're in before doing any work.
